Andrej Polukord is an artist of many media: he's known for working with drawings, paintings, installations, objects and performances. But for Polukord, the medium isn't as important as the message - his works focus on taking in the world around him from the point of the observer and then aiming to disrupt the tendencies of routine and traditional thinking to which we all fall victim at one time or another. Living between Vienna and Vilnius, Polukord's recurring reflections might mirror some of our own: "Will home always remain the way it is?" "Does falling in love with new visited places signal some type of betrayal?" He doesn't shy away from romantic motifs, with the title of this exhibit being a case in point. Think of this exhibit not as a set of works but rather as a sentimental (read: kitschy) story about growing fond of places and people.
